NGH Pty Ltd is committed to fostering a gender diverse and inclusive workplace and is proud to publish our Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer Statement. This statement reflects the data submitted to WGEA for the 2023-2024 reporting period, NGH’s first year of reporting. We support and welcome the WGEA’s publication of gender pay gap data, which helps organisations reflect on and enhance their strategies to advance gender equality in the workplace.
We highly value and respect the contributions of our employees and are dedicated to modern practices and social responsibility. Creating a genuine sense of belonging and inclusiveness is essential to us, with respect, collaboration and integrity as 3 of our core values. While we do not have set quotas, our participation in the WGEA reporting cycle underscores our ongoing commitment to attracting, retaining and promoting a diverse workforce.
The 2023-2024 report shows a gender composition of 63% female and 37% male across our 150 employees. NGH is proud of the balance of female representation across all levels of the organisation. Throughout our recruitment process, we actively encourage and support the representation of all gender identities through promoting diverse, opportunities and succession planning.
The 2023-2024 report is NGH’s first report to WGEA. We are pleased to report a mean pay gap of 9.5%, significantly lower than the Australian mean of 21.8%. The median gap is 0.4%. We are proud of our initial statistics.
To support equity in the workplace, NGH has a comprehensive policy and strategy for flexible working arrangements, offering support to employees with family or caregiving responsibilities. Additionally, we provide a top up to full pay on government funded paid parental leave to support families financially through an important period in their life.
The executive committee remains focused on continuing to maintain a balanced, diverse and inclusive workplace. We continually assess and refine strategies to support ongoing efforts for greater opportunities for growth and inclusion.
